I find information radiators invaluable on XP projects. We have information radiators for release plan, iteration plan, design debt, technical debt, retrospectives, risks etc. However they can easily get out of date. As usual, we do not want anything that slows us down.
I called on the newly appointed coaches to work with the team to do some cleaning up. We asked the following question:
- Is this information radiator still adding value?
- If not, can I toss it?
- If I cannot toss it, how do I modify it to bring up to date?
We got more than 50% stuff tossed out.
